Premature ejaculation (PE) doesn’t just affect your sex life, it also takes a heavy toll on your self-esteem. If you can’t last long enough to please your partner, there isn’t much of the joy left in intercourse. Instead, having sex can cause you to be anxious and stressed, instead of elated and relaxed.
But what if there was a natural way to address it?
The Emotional Impact of PE
Even if you have a truly loving and caring partner, PE can have a serious impact on your relationship. No matter how understanding your partner is – the crushing humiliation isn’t softened. Because you know how disappointed and unsatisfied she is by your performance, even if she tries not to show it.
Premature ejaculation can be a problem at any age, and is the the most common sexual dysfunction among men. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) around 25-30% of all men ejaculate too early.
Common Solutions and Their Limitations
There are all kinds of ways to try to deal with it. Some people try to do Kegel exercises (named after Dr. Arnold Kegel) – these are exercises that are designed to train the pubococcygeus muscles which are involved in the ejaculatory reflex.
Some people even try to take antidepressants to beat premature ejaculation, but we strongly advise against that. Not only do antidepressants often come with a plethora of long-term side-effects (including decreased sex-drive and impotence!), but this is also often not effective for PE.
Masters and Johnson created a very popular sexual reeducation program in the 70’s that many therapists now recommend. It is a quite lengthy and expensive program though, and one reason why it might be so popular with therapists is because it makes them a lot of money.
One of the most common methods of beating premature ejaculation is to distract yourself mentally by thinking of something else, something that doesn’t arouse you. I myself, and a lot of other people, find that taking away the intensity of pleasure and reducing the joy you have while having sex is not the best form of coping with PE. I surely don’t want to think of washing detergent advertisements or do mental multiplication exercises in my head during sex. And you don’t need to – with PE hypnosis you can focus on and fully experience the experience of having sex.
The Power of Hypnosis for PE
Hypnosis for premature ejaculation can be used as a stand-alone or complementary treatment for overcoming PE. One of the reasons why it is so effective is because it can re-train subconsciously established sex patterns that have built up over the years.
You see, part of the sex act is conscious and you’re in control of it. For example, you can control how fast and how strong you move. But a lot of what’s involved in having intercourse is not under your conscious control. Your subconscious mind is in charge of running many of the actions involved in having sex. For example having an erection, and also when and how hard you reach climax.
Experts agree that in most cases PE will not go away by itself but can become a life-long problem unless it’s being treated.
